Hout Bay Beach
Hout Bay is blessed with one of the most beautiful beaches in Cape Town. If you love powdery white beaches with fine white sand that fills the gaps between your toes on every step then Hout Bay beach is for you. The beach stretches almost a kilometre in length and varies between 200 and 400 meters in width more than enough space for a game of beach volleyball, a game of cricket or for jogging.
Hout Bay beach is split almost in the middle by the Hout Bay River which is fed by Disa streams higher up from the back of Table Mountain and meanders its way down to the Hout Bay wetlands and beach estuary.
Hout Bay beach is easy to access from both sides and even provides for equestrian access from nearby stables for those who wish to go for an early morning ride on the beach.
Hout Bay is a protected and calm bay offering a safe swimming beach and water sport opportunities from surfing to kite boarding and boating. Of course, for those less adventurous, the sheer beauty of the surrounding mountains, white sandy beach and indigo water make Hout Bay beach the perfect sun tanning setting and perfect for the entire family.
