| The Cape Argus Cycle Tour is the world's largest individually timed cycle race. The cycle tour is held in Cape Town, traditionally on the second Sunday in March and stretches over 109km. The tour twists its way down Chapman’s Peak into Hout Bay which offers a small reprieve before the riders are confronted with the notorious Suikerbossie climb. The Hout Bay portion of the Cape Argus Cycle Tour signals the completion of over eighty percent of the tour with Suikerbossie being the final hurdle. |
